Meet Anchor: Your Desktop for the Web

Your operating system gives you a desktop: a place you arrange the way you like, where your most-used things are one click away. Your browser, where most of us now spend the majority of our day, gives you... a bookmarks bar. A cramped strip of truncated labels, overflowing into a dropdown you stopped scrolling through years ago.

Anchor fixes that. It turns your new tab page into a real desktop for the web. Your bookmarks, laid out visually in groups and columns, alongside widgets for the things you check constantly anyway: your calendar, your tasks, the weather, a scratchpad for quick notes.

What Anchor actually does

Desktops. Create separate spaces for separate contexts. One for work, one for personal stuff, one for that side project. Each desktop has its own layout, its own links, its own theme, so switching contexts takes one click instead of a mental gear change.

Groups and bookmarks. Bookmarks live in groups you arrange in flexible multi-column layouts, as icon grids or compact lists, whatever suits the content. Drag, drop, done.

Widgets. A clock, weather, quote of the day, sticky notes, a simple task list. Plus integrations that pull in your Google or Microsoft calendar and your Todoist tasks, right on your start page.

Import with AI auto-sort. Got fifteen years of bookmark chaos? Export them from your browser, import the file into Anchor, and optionally let AI sort everything into sensible, tidy groups. (Your bookmarks are never used to train AI models. They're yours.)

Browser extension. The extension makes Anchor your new tab page in one click, and lets you save any page with Ctrl+Shift+S or a right-click. No copy-pasting URLs.

Themes. A dozen-plus built-in themes from clean light to OLED black to full vaporwave, or build your own with custom colors and fonts.

Try before you build

Want a feel for Anchor before committing to anything? There's a live demo right on our homepage: a real desktop you can click around, no install and no signup. When you're ready, create an account and start building. Everything you make is backed up and in sync on every browser, on every device.

Pricing

Every new account starts with a free 60-day trial of the full app — no card required. After that, Anchor is $25 a year. That's the whole model: no ads, no tracking, no selling your data. You fund Anchor, so you're the customer, not the product. And if you decide not to subscribe, your desktops stay viewable in read-only mode and you can export your data anytime.

Try it

The fastest way to see if Anchor is for you is the live demo on our homepage. No install, no signup, just click around. If it clicks, start your free trial and make it yours, then grab the extension to put it one new-tab away.
